First lady Michelle Obama chats with Jimmy Fallon on "The Tonight Show"

First lady Michelle Obama stopped by the Tonight Show to talk with new host Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, pitching healthy living - one of her top priorities - and health care reform.

She also delivered some straight talk on family life in the White House, saying daughters Malia, 15, and Sasha, 12, are pretty much over it.

"They want nothing to do with us," she said, laughing.

"They really want normalcy and the White House isn't normal," she explained. "I'll say 'Don't you want to invite your friends over to watch a movie?' She's like, 'No one wants to come here.'"

And she warned the citizens of Washington, D.C., about the prospect of her older daughter learning to drive when she turns 16 this year.

"Ladies and gentlemen in D.C. , watch out!” she said. “Malia Obama on the road - kinda frightening. I have security, so I'm good, but..."

The first lady also talked diet and exercise, encouraging viewers to describe their fitness routine on social media using the hashtag #letsmove. "What we're asking people to do is show us how you're moving. We want people to Facebook it, Tweet it, Instagram it," she said, promising a "little surprise" if enough people participate.

"The president, and maybe the vice president, will show us how they move," she said.

And to underscore the importance of healthy eating, she fed kale chips to Fallon and fellow “Saturday Night Live” alumnus Will Ferrell, who both dressed in drag for a skit called "Ew!"

And though Obama generally steers clear of politics, she managed to sneak in a plug for the Affordable Care Act, urging young adults to sign up for health coverage before the open enrollment period for the law's insurance exchanges closes at the end of March.
