First date-turned-last date: Fla. man beaten, robbed, left naked by woman and two cohorts, police say

(CBS/AP) BUNNELL, Fla. - A north Florida man says he needs surgery on his right eye after he was beaten and robbed during his first date with a woman he met at a convenience store.

He's hoping the next time he sees her will be in court.

A Flagler County Sheriff's report says 34-year-old Shaun Williams met the woman he knew as "Tree" two weeks ago. The woman allegedly picked up Williams with two other men in her vehicle on Friday night in Daytona Beach to go on a date.

The woman reportedly said one of the men was her brother and the other was his friend, and that she was going to drop them off before going on their dinner date.

According to CBS affiliate WTEV, the woman instread drove to a desolate area in Bunnell where one of the men told Williams to hand over everything he had, including his clothes.

The station reports the other man pointed a handgun at Williams after the victim asked if they were being serious.

Williams was allegedly hit in the face with a metal object, and the three suspects fled leaving the victim bloodied and naked on the side of the road.

The victim later flagged down a truck driver who called 911 and was take to the hospital for treatment.

Deputies are investigating.
