"Fargo" taps Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons for season 2
"Fargo" has landed a couple of new high-profile residents.
Actress Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons of "Breaking Bad" fame will star in season 2 of the Emmy-winning FX series.
Dunst will play Peggy Blomquist, a beautician who's trying to navigate life and society's expectations, while Plemons will portray Ed, a butcher's assistant and Peggy's husband.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Noah Hawley will return as showrunner, teaming with executive producers including, Joel and Ethan Coen -- the team behind the 1996 movie.
More cast members are expected to be unveiled soon.
Like HBO's "True Detective," "Fargo" will feature a different cast during the sophomore season. The first cast of the series, which received 18 Emmy nominations, included Billy Bob Thorton, Bob Odenkirk, Colin Hanks, Allison Tolman and Martin Freeman.
Production will kick off in January. The 10-episode series will debut in the fall of 2015 on FX.
