Family reports Ohio State football player missing
COLUMBUS, Ohio - The sister of an Ohio State football player says his family has reported him missing after he left his apartment, then uncharacteristically missed two practices and didn't check in.
She tells The Columbus Dispatch 22-year-old Kosta Karageorge was last seen at his Columbus, Ohio apartment around 2 a.m. Wednesday.
Sophia Karageorge says her brother apparently was upset, and roommates said he went for a walk, dressed in all black.
Police were looking for the 6-foot-5 senior defensive tackle.
His sister says he didn't take his wallet or motorcycle. She says he has a history of sports-related concussions, including one a month ago, and his family was concerned that he might have become disoriented.
The former wrestler joined the football team as a walk-on this season.
There was no immediate comment by Ohio State on Karageorge.
The newspaper reports the 22-year-old was last seen wearing black sweatpants over his jeans, black Timberland boots, a black hoodie with FOC on it and a black beanie on his head. He is said to have recently shaved his head and wears a short beard.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 614-747-1729.
