Family of Malala Yousufzai arrives in England
(CBS News) BIRMINGHAM, England -- The family of the Pakistani girl who was shot in the head after standing up for the rights of girls to go to school arrived in England Thursday.
Malala Yousufzai's parents and two of her brothers flew to Birmingham to visit the hospital where the 15-year-old was brought for treatment last week.
Malala's father said in an interview before his departure that he had been honored by the outpouring of sympathy for his daughter, but that his main concern, as a father, was for her welfare.
The teen asked him to bring her school books, indicating her thirst for education continues.

Queen Elizabeth Hospital releases a daily bulletin saying Malala is comfortable and responding to treatment. Staff say she has made what they call a dramatic recovery, considering what she has been through.
Malala is expected to undergo reconstructive surgery soon, and her family has said they will return to Pakistan once the teen's treatment is finished.
Authorities in Pakistan say six men have been detained in connection with the attack on Malala, but the man who shot her in the head is still on the loose.
