Exclusive: Take a look inside Amazon's "The Interestings"
Amazon Studios wants you to get to know "The Interestings," a new drama looking to join its roster of original series.
"The Interestings" is adapted from Meg Wolitzer's New York Times best-selling novel that follows a group of friends over the decades from meeting in a performing arts camp in 1974 to struggling to make in in New York in the '80s to trying to sort out their adult lives in the early '90s. The ensemble cast is led by Lauren Ambrose ("Six Feet Under"), Jessica Pare ("Mad Men") and David Krumholtz ("Numb3rs").
The pilot episode, directed by Mike Newell ("Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," "Four Weddings and a Funeral"), launched last week alongside "The Last Tycoon," starring Matt Bomer, Lily Collins and Kelsey Gramer.
Both series are vying for enough viewer support to earn a series pickup by Amazon and join the ranks of "Transparent," "Man in the High Castle," "Bosch" and others.
The first episode of "The Interestings" is available to stream now on Amazon.
