Ex-"Survivor" producer Bruce Beresford-Redman extradited to Mexico for wife's murder

(CBS/AP) - Former "Survivor" producer Bruce Beresford-Redman has been extradited to Mexico to stand trial for aggravated murder in the April 2010 death of his wife, his attorney Richard G. Hirsch confirmed to CBS News Wednesday.

Beresford-Redman was extradited Wednesday morning to the Mexican state of Quintana Roo.

He is accused of killing his wife Monica Beresford-Redman while on a family vacation in April 2010.

Monica Beresford-Redman was found in a sewer cistern at the resort where she and her family were staying. The couple, from Rancho Palos Verdes, went on the trip to try to repair their marriage, after Bruce Beresford-Redman had an affair with a co-worker.

Monica Beresford-Redman owned a popular Brazilian-themed restaurant in Los Angelesm reports CBS Los Angeles.

If convicted in Mexico, the Emmy-nominated producer and co-creator of "Pimp My Ride" could be sentenced to between 12 and 30 years in prison.
