Eman and Tiffany Moss, father and stepmother of Ga. girl found dead in a trash, charged with murder
(CBS/AP) LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The father and stepmother of a 10-year-old girl whose body was found in a trash can at an Atlanta apartment complex have been charged with murder.
Gwinnett County police said in a statement that Eman Moss called 911 at 3:43 a.m. Saturday and said he was suicidal. He also said his daughter, Emani Moss, drank some type of chemical and was dead.
When officers responded to the call, Moss pointed them to a trash can in a recreation area of the apartment complex, according to CBS Atlanta.
When officers checked the can, they found the severely burned body of the girl.
Moss and Tiffany Moss, Emani's stepmother, have been charged with felony murder, cruelty to children in the first degree, and concealing a body.
Both are being held at the Gwinnett County Detention Center.
