Mike Huckabee and John Kasich on Syrian refugees:

"In the GOP, Speaker [Paul] Ryan needs to make it clear that if the President won't stand to protect America from wholesale open borders, then Republicans will. If Ryan will not lead and reject the importation of those fleeing the Middle East without assurances that we can separate refugees from terrorists, then Speaker Ryan needs to step down today and let someone else lead." --Mike Huckabee putting pressure on House Speaker Paul Ryan to stop the flow of Syrian refugees in the wake of theParis attacks.

"There is no way that we can put our people at risk by bringing people in at this point. You ask a question, should anyone coming here at the end of the year? The answer to that should be no. We cannot jeopardize our people. It is not just an issue of the heart, it is an issue of the head. I hope that perhaps Congress can get involved in this and to say, 'We're not going do this.' We cannot let people in here unless we know clearly who they are." --Ohio Gov. John Kasich joining thegrowing number of Republicans who say the U.S. cannot accept Syrian refugees.
