Edward Furlong, "Terminator 2" actor, gets 5-year-probation for harming girlfriend, report says
(CBS) LOS ANGELES - "Terminator 2" actor Edward Furlong was sentenced to five years of probation on Monday for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend in May, reports CBS Los Angeles.
According to the station, in addition to probation, Furlong was also ordered to attend a 90-day drug treatment program, plus one year of domestic violence counseling.
He was also given 61 days in jail, however, CBS Los Angeles reports the actor has already fulfilled that with time served.
Furlong, 35, reportedly pleaded no contest to an amended felony charge of willful infliction of corporal injury on a cohabitant or spouse for dismissal of a number of other charges, prosecutors said.
Furlong allegedly violated an existing restraining order when he went to his girlfriend's home on May 21 and attacked her.
The actor was also issued a protective order that prohibits him from having contact with the victim for at least three months, according to the station.
