Duchess Kate wears sunny yellow for Buckingham Palace garden party
Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, opted to wear a sunny-colored ensemble to the annual Buckingham Palace garden party on Wednesday.
The 31-year-old, who will welcome her first child with Prince William in July, donned a canary yellow coat with a white hat and pearl earrings, along with her standard nude heels.
Kate's coat, the Daily Mail reports, is a bespoke version of Emilia Wickstead's "Marella" coat. Her hat is by Jane Corbett.
She attended the event along with her in-laws, Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
This is the second year Kate has attended the garden party, hosted by Queen Elizabeth II each year to thank people who have contributed to their local communities.
Around 8,000 members of the public, including Olympians, Paralympians and officials from the London 2012 Summer Games, attended the event, according to reports. The guests are expected to sip more than 270,000 cups of tea and eat 20,000 sandwiches and slices of cake by the end of the evening.
