Driver rescued after car falls into Ohio sinkhole

It was probably a car ride that driver Pamela Knox had never expected and most likely will never forget.

The 60-year-old was driving on Detroit Avenue in Toledo, Ohio, when her Chevrolet Malibu fell into a 20-foot deep sinkhole early Wednesday afternoon, CBS affiliate WTOL Toledo reported.

Fire personnel rescued Knox out of the hole; she was taken to a local hospital. A crane was used to pull the car out of the sinkhole.

Police said the intersections in the vicinity will remain shut down "for an extended period of time."
