Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman open up on divorce
Drew Barrymore and husband Will Kopelman are calling it quits, but that doesn't mean they won't be a family anymore, the two say.
The actors gave a statement to Us Weekly, saying they intend on prioritizing their family.
"Sadly our family is separating legally, although we do not feel this takes away from us being a family," the pair tells Us Weekly. "Divorce might make one feel like a failure, but eventually you start to find grace in the idea that life goes on ... Our children are our universe and we look forward to living the rest of our lives with them as the first priority."
Barrymore and Kopelman have daughters Olive, 3, and Frankie, 23 months, together. The two were married for nearly four years; they married in June 2012.
This is Barrymore's third marriage. She was married briefly to bar owner Jeremy Thomas in 1994, and wed comedian Tom Green in July 2001.
