Doug Hutchison, "Lost" actor, marries 16-year-old girlfriend Courtney Alexis Stodden
(CBS) If 35 wasn't a significant number for "Lost" actor Doug Hutchison before his wedding, it must be now - because that's the age difference between him and his new wife.
Hutchison, 51, and aspiring country singer Courtney Alexis Stodden, 16, married last month in Las Vegas, according to a message on his website.

"Doug Anthony Hutchison and Courtney Alexis Stodden became husband and wife on Friday May 20th, 2011, at 12 p.m. in The Little Chapel of Flowers in Las Vegas, Nevada," the statement says. "Mr. and Mrs. Hutchison live together happily ensconced in their Hollywood Hills home with their lil' pups, Everette and Tuna!"
Hutchison, who played Dharma Initiative leader Horace Goodspeed on "Lost," also played prison guard Percy Wetmore in "The Green Mile."
The newlyweds told E! News that they know their 35-year age difference will raise some eyebrows.
"We're aware that our vast age difference is extremely controversial," they said through their spokeswoman. "But we're very much in love and want to get the message out there that true love can be ageless."
Nevada allows 16-year-olds to marry, but only with parental permission. Stodden's parents told RaderOnline.com that they approve of their daughter's marriage.
