Disney unveils "Frozen"-inspired wedding dress
Attention, brides-to-be: If you want to look like an ice princess on your big day, you can now "Let It Go" (sorry, we had to) down the aisle in a gown inspired by "Frozen."
Disney is collaborating with bridal designer Alfred Angelo to offer a gown based on Elsa's signature frost-blue "Snow Queen" gown as part of the 2015 Disney Fairy Tale Weddings collection.
A sketch of the gown was posted on Disney Weddings' Instagram page on Thursday:
According to the Disney Weddings blog, the sheath gown "has been dramatically beaded to glisten like sunlight on fresh fallen snow" and features a sweetheart neckline and Watteau train, which drapes from the shoulders down to the floor.
"A character like Elsa is a huge inspiration for any designer," Alfred Angelo's Chief Creative Officer Michele Piccione, who designed the dress, told InStyle (which had a first look at the sketch earlier this week). "She is beautiful and elegant, and her inner beauty shines through when she is ultimately not afraid to embrace who she is with confidence and poise."
The gown will be available starting January 2015 at Alfred Angelo stores nationwide and specialty retailers worldwide.
