Disappearing man on beach prank! Where'd he go?

(CBS News) It seems as if no one is safe from pranksters these days. If they're not getting people at the drive-thru, or tricking people into kissing them on the boardwalk, then they are fooling people on the beach. Internet prankster regulars How to Disturb Reality, Public Prank, Calen Morelli, and Shay Carl all got together and pulled a disappearing act on innocent beach-goers -- check out how people react in the amusing video above.

Each magician took turns distracting a group of people on the beach with a card trick, and while their victims were enthralled in the illusion, they would sneak away and hide in the secret compartment in the sand just feet away. When the people turned around, the jokester was nowhere to be seen. The trick is pretty clever, and they rarely ever got caught thanks to their accomplices looking all innocent while the pranksters hid in the sand next to them.

This is a pretty perfectly-executed prank, down to the camera capturing the view from inside their hiding place. But it does look like it would get pretty clostrophobic in that little sandy box. I wonder how long they stayed in there to keep the ruse going? Regardless, it's really fun to watch these poor clueless people desperately looking for the guy who had just been talking to them, probably convinced they had gone crazy.
