"Diary of a Thief"
(CBS/AP) UNIONTOWN, Pa. - Police in western Pennsylvania are hoping to catch a thief using clues from his criminal diary.
In a stolen car that crashed, Uniontown police say they found a back pack containing drug paraphernalia and a notebook in which the thief "describes how he has stolen vehicles in the past and goes into detail about previous crimes he has committed."
The car containing the "Diary of a Thief" was reported stolen from the parking lot of a Pittsburgh church on Veteran's Day. Police in Uniontown began chasing the same car three days later in the early morning, after the driver ran a stop sign.
Police lost track of the vehicle which was later found crashed into a bed of rocks. The alleged car thief got away, but police might have a pretty good read on his whereabouts.
