Detroit man shot and killed at restaurant drive-thru
DETROIT - Detroit police are searching for a man who was seen on surveillance video on Monday shooting and killing a passenger in a car at a restaurant's drive-thru.
CBS Detroit reports that the shooting took place around 4:30 a.m. outside of Robert's Coney Island restaurant.
In the video, which was released by police, the suspect can be seen walking right up to the passenger side door of the vehicle with his gun drawn. He allegedly demanded money and the vehicle's female driver fled.
A 47-year-old male passenger attempted to climb into the driver's seat, and police say the suspect fired multiple shots, fatally wounding him. The suspect then took off on foot.
The victim, whose name was not released, was declared dead at the scene. The driver was uninjured.
