Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas to launch joint tour
Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas are joining forces for a major 2016 tour.
The musical pair, who both starred in Disney's "Camp Rock" in 2008, announced the North America outing on Monday.
They also dropped by "Good Morning America" to share the news about the "Future Now: The Tour." "Demi and I were business partners and, obviously, have a long history of being friends, but the chief for us was about living in this moment, taking a step out individually over the last year-and-a-half, two years, and growing with our fans and then saying, you know, if there was ever a time to do it, it's now," Jonas, said. "[We're] so excited to get in front of our fans and rally curate the moment each night."
"The most important thing is taking the show on the road and getting to share this experience with all the fans that have supported this music for the past, you know, couple of years," Lovato added.
Lovato will be out promoting her new album "Confident," which features the hit song "Cool for the Summer." Lovato told CBS News that the set shows where she is as a person now, adding, "I've grown a lot. And I want my fans to grow with me. My album attests to where I am spiritually, mentally."
Jonas, meanwhile, will back his latest release, last year's self-titled album and its hit songs "Chains" and "Jealous."
