A Catholic Mass was held in honor of Flores-Narvaez, who was a performer in the "Fantasy" burlesque show at the Luxor hotel-casino.
Her older sister, Celeste Flores Narvarez, says she was envious of Debora, who had left friends and family and a career in finance two years ago to chase the life of a Las Vegas showgirl.
Debora's ex-boyfriend, 32-year-old Jason "Blu" Griffith, was arrested on suspicion of murder last week, and later charged with her murder, battery domestic violence and destroying evidence charges, after he told officers that the dancer's death was a "heat of the moment thing," according to the arrest report.
Debora was reported missing Dec.14 by her roommate who became worried when she failed to show up for a performance. Police say she was killed Dec.12 and was last seen with Griffith, a dancer in the Cirque du Soleil Beatles show "Love."
Police say Griffith strangled his former girlfriend, cut off her legs and covered her body with concrete, reports CBS affiliate KLAS.
Griffith's roommate, Louis Colombo, who reportedly helped Griffith cover-up the murder, asked police for immunity in exchange for information about the murder, according to KLAS. He has not been arrested.
Griffith is being held without bail and is due in court for a preliminary hearing February 15.
