Dave Matthews: "Politicians Are Disappointing"

While in Washington to promote Jane Goodall's pioneering research, musician Dave Matthews took time out to speak with "Washington Unplugged" about why it's difficult for him to trust Washington politicians. "I can say, almost without exception, politicians are disappointing. Unfortunately, they have a fear of the consequences of them speaking strong true words against what the established power would like them to say."

He also joked that it would be hard for him to enter into politics.

"I have a closet so full of skeletons," he said. "I'd hate to have that sort of exposure and have to answer for it."

Watch his comments above, and check out Friday's Washington Unplugged for the extended video with Jane Goodall and Dave Matthews celebrating Goodall's pioneering research and effort to encourage people to make a positive change to the environment.
