Daughtry, Jon Bon Jovi on "American Idol"
It wasn't only the contestants taking center stage Wednesday on "American Idol."
Rocker Jon Bon Jovi and Season 5 finalist Chris Daughtry took the spotlight as well.
Bon Jovi performed "Superman Tonight" from the group's latest album and the frontman responded gamely to host Ryan Seacrest's oblique reference to his age. Seacrest asked the 48-year-old rock star how the group managed to stay fresh after decades in the business.

"You know, hard work and good luck," he said. "Good friends who have put us in the right places."
Daughtry performed the single "September" from his latest album "Leave This Town." He said the song was an attempt to come to terms with his own childhood.
When Seacrest asked the "Idol" alum to give some advice to final four contestants, he called the industry fickle and urged the young singers to be true to themselves.
