Cristin Milioti talks "How I Met Your Mother" series finale
If you watched "How I Met Your Mother" last week, you may have paused for a moment and scratched your head during that final scene. Maybe you even rewound your DVR.
After last week's episode, there was a lot of buzz over whether the Mother on the hit CBS sitcom dies at some point in the future, and that's why Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor) had been telling his kids the story of how he met their mother -- his wife -- all along as he narrated the series.
When asked about the speculation, Cristin Milioti, who plays the Mother on the show, told The Hollywood Reporter, "That's insane...There are some crazy conspiracy theories, which actually makes me really love the fans more...That's so crazy."
Milioti said they didn't shoot any alternative endings for the finale, scheduled for March 31. Series co-creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, she said, had the "vision for nine years, and it's in great hands," adding, "They know exactly what they want to do."
When CBS News caught up with actor Ray Wise, who plays Robin Scherbatsky's (Cobie Smulders) dad on the show, he said fans are going to love the way the series ends in its ninth season.
"It's going to be beautifully resolved," he said.
