Craig Robinson and Adam Scott to star in comedic “X-Files”-style series
A new Fox series is hoping “X-Files” fans have a sense of humor.
The network has ordered a pilot for “Ghosted,” a comedy series starring “Hot Tub Time Machine 2” co-stars Craig Robinson and Adam Scott, it was announced Tuesday.
The series takes its cues from “The X-Files,” as it follows a skeptic (played by Robinson) and a believer in extra-terrestrials (played by Scott) who are tapped by a shadowy government organization to investigate “unexplained” activity in and around Los Angeles.
Scott and Robinson will also serve as executive producers alongside Scott’s wife and producing partner, Naomi Scott, and writer Tom Gormican.
Robinson and Scott have plenty of television comedy experience under their respective belts, as Robinson starred on “The Office” and Scott played Amy Poehler’s love interest on “Parks and Recreation.”
