(CBS/AP) LOS ANGELES - Russell Armstrong had no drugs or alcohol in his system when he killed himself, according to authorities.

A coroner's report on Armstrong's death released Wednesday says there were no signs of foul play in the 47-year-old's death, which has been ruled a suicide.

"Real Housewives" address Armstrong's suicide

Armstrong, who appeared with his estranged wife, Taylor Armstrong, on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," killed himself last month, weeks before the show's second season premiered.

The venture capitalist left behind no suicide note. But the coroner's report says he had been depressed about financial issues and problems with Taylor.

The new season of the Beverly Hills edition of "Real Housewives" premiered Monday. The marital problems between Russell and Taylor Armstrong were expected to be a major plot point before the businessman's suicide, but the show has been re-edited.
