Cops: Domestic violence victim missing in Cleveland

CLEVELAND -- Police in Cleveland are reportedly searching for a missing woman they say is a domestic violence victim who could be in danger.

Angela Lochan, 20, last communicated with her mother Oct. 23 via text, reports Cleveland.com. Her mother, who lives in Florida, reported her missing Monday.

Lochan was a victim of domestic violence in June when her boyfriend allegedly choked her while she was pregnant, reports the station, citing a police report. He's charged with assault, abduction and domestic violence in the incident. Lochan reportedly lived with him at the time she went missing, and officers haven't been able to locate him, the website reports.

Police haven't said whether the boyfriend is a suspect in her disappearance.

Lochan is the mother of an infant who was found safe with the child's paternal grandmother, reports CBS affiliate WOIO. Police say they don't believe she would have left her child.

Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is asked to contact detectives at 216-623-5864.
