Cooking Mama 4: Kitchen Magic brings the yum in 3D
(CBS) - The queen of video game cooking is coming back and this time she's more adorable than ever. Cooking Mama 4: Kitchen Magic for the Nintendo 3DS is available for pre-order now, online chefs.
The game hasn't changed too much. Players are still expected to cook a meal with Mama's guidance. From a knife to a spatula, the Nintendo 3DS's stylus is used as a variety of kitchen tools.
New features include motion control, 3D surprises and new dishes, of course!
Mama's students will be able to tilt the handheld game device to spread butter on a pan or a tray to balance dishes. Not to worry - the developers say that the 3D feature will not be overwhelming.
Cyber chefs can expect new menu items like designer cupcakes and cherry pies, too. Luckily, the new incarnation of the game maintains the elements that have kept fans happy over the years.
The Cooking Mama series first debuted in America on the Nintendo DS in September 2006. Game play on the touchscreen, hand-held gaming device is simple. Players use the stylus to chop vegetables and stir items.
The game remains one of the most popular casual games for the Nintendo DS and 3DS, selling 8.5 million units in North America alone.
Cooking Mama 4: Kitchen Magic will be available in October 2011.
