Cameron Fredrickson, a friend who was a groomsman in Cody Lee Johnson's wedding, reportedly warned the victim that he shouldn't marry Graham.
He said, "their interaction with each other, it didn't seem like a happy, loving relationship that you would normally see. It was just very awkward, I guess."
Fredrick also said Graham was distant and reserved, according to the paper.
The 22-year-old newlywed wife confessed to pushing her husband face-first off a cliff in Glacier National Park after they got into argument. She then lied about his death and told authorities he had driven off with friends, according to court documents.
Johnson's body was found in an area of the park so steep and rugged that a helicopter had to be used in the recovery.
Johnson's family and friends had called for an investigation since the body was recovered July 12 below the Loop Trail near the sheer cliff drops of the park's popular Going to the Sun Road.
Graham has been charged with second-degree murder.
