Chris Daughtry and Wife Deanna Welcome Twins

NEW YORK (CBS) It's double the joy for Chris Daughtry and his wife, Deanna.

The couple welcomed fraternal twins on Wednesday morning, the rocker and former "American Idol" competitor announced on his website.

Daughter Adalynn Rose arrived first at 11:06 a.m. ET, weighing 6 lbs., 5 oz., and son Noah James followed at 11:25 a.m. ET, weighing 5 lbs., 5 oz.

"Our family is overwhelmed with joy by these two precious gifts from God," Daughtry, 30, said. "The babies are both healthy and resting. Thanks to everyone for their love and prayers."

The twins, who were conceived through gestational surrogacy, join older siblings Hannah and Griffin.
