Cher, Ed Sheeran, Miguel among "The Voice" advisers
NBC says "The Voice" is getting four new advisers, with Cher among them.
The network said Monday that coach Blake Shelton picked Cher, 67, to work with him in the upcoming fifth season. As an adviser, the pop diva will help Shelton groom his chosen contestants as they try to advance in the singing contest.
Cher had previously performed her single "Woman's World" during the season four live show finalein June.
The other coach-adviser pairings include Christina Aguilera and "The A-Team" singer Ed Sheeran; Adam Levine and OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder; and CeeLo Green and R&B solo artist Miguel.
Aguilera and Green are rejoining the series this fall after taking a break last season. They were briefly replaced by Shakiraand Usher who will rejoin the judges' panel for season six, airing in 2014.
"The Voice," hosted by Carson Daly, returns to NBC on Sept. 23.
