Chely Wright and Lauren Blitzer tie the knot

(CBS) Chely Wright is now a married woman.

The country singer tied the knot with partner Lauren Blitzer on Saturday.

People reports that Wright, 40, exchanged vows with Blitzer, a GLBT civil rights activist, in front of more than 200 guests at Blitzer's aunt's home in Connecticut.

Both brides wore white wedding gowns, according to the magazine, and a reverend and a rabbi presided over the ceremony.

Blitzer, 30, shared a photo from the big day, tweeting "The Blitzer-wrights," along with a picture of the newlyweds facing one another in their wedding gowns.

Earlier, she wrote, "@chelywright - let's do this thing xoxo."

Wright met Blitzer two weeks after she came out last year, according to People.
