Charlie Sheen reportedly earning $300,000 from first two live shows

(CBS) The "Charlie Sheen Live: My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is not an Option" tour kicks off in Detroit on April 8. That show and its follow-up show in Cleveland sold out in 18 minutes, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

That's not bad considering Charlie Sheen's act thus far has mostly been him standing in his kitchen acting like a madman.

Sheen will get about $300,000 between the first two gigs, according to THR. Additional shows are booked in Cleveland, Columbus, Ohio, New York (two shows!), Wallingford, Conn., and Boston. (Question: Do eight shows count as a tour? Just throwing that out there.)

It's unlikely that Sheen will earn anything on the tour like the $1.2 million per episode he made on "Two and a Half Men." THR reports that he'd have to sell 50,000 tickets at $50 to earn the money he made per episode on TV.

Those estimates don't take into account Sheen merchandise (for example, "Tiger Blood" T-shirts) or the Twitter deal he reportedly has with Ad.ly.

And what of the show's expenses? If the set is as spartan as the set on Sheen's tour announcement video - he looks as if he's sitting in your mom and dad's living room - expenses probably won't run too high.

Sheen's personal expenses are another story. He does have a history of trashing hotel rooms.
