(CBS) Chantal O'Brien didn't win Brad Womack's heart on "The Bachelor," but the runner-up didn't have to wait long for love.

On Monday night's "After the Final Rose," the 28-year-old executive assistant revealed that she's now in a new relationship.

"When I went home I was obviously very hurt and trying to figure out what to do, and I happened to meet somebody totally unexpectedly," she said on the show. "I don't want to get all crazy but he's definitely everything I've been looking for."

Still, she had a lot to say about her relationship with Womack.

"I was in love with him and I thought he was in love with me," she said, tearing up. "It's hard."

On "Live with Regis and Kelly" Tuesday, she explained that while she had been confident Womack would propose to her during the finale, she could pinpoint the moment she knew he would choose Emily Maynard.

"I felt pretty confident, but when I was in the limo [driving up to the proposal site], I thought 'it's too early for a proposal - they usually do this at sunset,'" O'Brien said, according to Us magazine.

She added that she's cautiously optimistic about Womack and Maynard's staying power.

"I think it's really hard to be in that position," she says. "I hope it works out, but I don't know. They obviously have something."
