Channing Tatum and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum welcome first child
Channing Tatum and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum are taking on a new role: parenthood.
The actors have welcomed their first child, People confirmed on Sunday.
Additional details, including the baby's gender and birth date, were not available, per People, but Us Weekly is reporting that the baby is girl.
Tatum, 33, and his wife, 32, announced in December that they were expecting their first child. The couple, who met while filming the movie "Step Up," married in 2009.
Dewan-Tatum said in Glamour's May issue that her husband has been a supportive partner during her pregnancy.
"Channing has been great," she told the magazine. "He takes the route of no confrontation, just support, saying things like, 'Do whatever you want! What do you want to eat? I'm going to leave it up to you.'"
She added, "Who knows what kind of parents we'll be? We have two dogs, so we've had some practice! And as soon as this baby comes into the world, Channing and I will figure it out real fast."
