(CBS News) While VH1 scrapped its reality series following Chad (Ochocinco) Johnson and his wife Evelyn Lozada after Johnson was arrested for allegedly head-butting his wife over the weekend, HBO has decided to move forward with its show about the Miami Dolphins, airing an episode that shows Johnson's release from the team.

HBO and NFL Films cameras were present for Johnson's discussion with Dolphins coach Joe Philbin the day after he was arrested. HBO's "Hard Knocks" has been following the Miami Dolphins this season.

"I let you down I know that. A lot. I understand what you're doing. You got the message across clear the first day we met, I understood what you wanted from me and what you expected of me," Johnson says in his last plea. "Especially after our talk, with the having fun, and the media thing. I apologize for embarrassing you, the organization and our teammates."

Philbin terminated the six-time Pro Bowl receiver's contract 24 hours after his arrest. This would have been his first season with the Dolphins. Last season, he played with the New Engalnd Patriots.

Lozada decided to end her 41-day-old marriage to the football star on Tuesday, filing divorce papers in Florida, Danika Berry, a rep for Lozada, confirmed.

The marriage imploded on Saturday after an argument between the two ended with Lozada being treated at a hospital for lacerations to her head.

Johnson's July 4 wedding to Lozada - whom he courted publicly on the VH1 series "Basketball Wives" - was taped for a spin-off show called "Ev & Ocho." It was due to debut Sept. 3, but VH1 shelved it after Johnson's weekend arrest.
