Catya Washington, Former "Bad Girls Club" Star, Spends New Year Behind Bars
NEW YORK (CBS) Former "Bad Girls Club" member Catya Washington might want to make a New Year's resolution to stay out of jail, after the Oxygen network's reality star spent the first days of 2011 behind bars for yet another run-in with the law.
According to law enforcement officials, Washington, who starred in the show's fifth season, "Bad Girls Club: Miami," was taken into custody Dec. 29 for an "outstanding bench warrant," but authorities refused to comment on the matter any further, reports TMZ.
While authorities remained tight-lipped on Washington's latest lockup, one of her relatives told the gossip website that Washington, who was on house arrest following a large drug bust in November, was arrested for wandering outside her designated perimeter.
Washington was reportedly the target of a large drug bust in which Pennsylvania State Police allegedly found cocaine, mushrooms, Ecstasy and a gun.
Washington, whose nickname on the reality show was "The Elite Player," left the show mid-season declaring herself to be too "high class" to continue debasing herself like her fellow contestants.
TMZ reports that "The Elite Player" is expected to be released from prison sometime this week.
