Cars fall through ice at Lake Geneva's Winterfest
LAKE GENEVA, Wis. -- Skating on thin ice can be dangerous. Apparently, so can parking on it.
About 15 vehicles fell through the ice covering Wisconsin's Lake Geneva Saturday during the city's annual Winterfest, CBS affiliate WDJT reported.
Dive teams were called in to remove them. Parking on the ice was "at your own risk," the station said, meaning the drivers would be responsible for paying to fix the damage to their cars.
The Lake Geneva Fire Department said no injuries were reported.
