Tuesday's the day for the year's first Running of the Bulls in Pamplona, Spain, the risky ritual immortalized by Ernest Hemingway in his novel, "The Sun Also Rises."
Wednesday kicks off Taste of Chicago, a five-day festival of food and music.

Thursday is Day One for the Comic-Con International in San Diego, the world's biggest comic book convention, with Marvel Comic legend Stan Lee among the participants.

Friday marks the 75th anniversary of the beginning of the 15-week long Battle of Britain, in which the Royal Air Force defeated the German Luftwaffe's attempt to achieve air supremacy over southern England.
