Caitlyn Jenner to Laverne Cox: "You are fierce and fabulous!"
Caitlyn Jenner had some words of gratitude Wednesday for "Orange Is the New Black" actress Laverne Cox this week.
She took to Twitter to thank Cox for her contributions to the transgender community and for her support as she undergoes her transition.
Cox had spoken out on social media following the former Olympian's debut as Caitlyn Jenner on the cover of Vanity Fair last month.
She praised the reality star for her and acknowledged the support behind her, writing on Tumblr, "I am so moved by all the love and support Caitlyn is receiving. It feels like a new day, indeed, when a trans person can present her authentic self to the world for the first time and be celebrated for it so universally."
"I have always been aware that I can never represent all trans people. No one or two or three trans people can. This is why we need diverse media representations of trans folks to multiply trans narratives in the media and depict our beautiful diversities," the actress added.
