The 11-track set, which was produced by Springsteen, Ron Aniello and Jon Landau, is Springsteen's first studio album since 2010's "The Promise." Two of the song titles may sound familiar to fans; the New Jersey rocker debuted the title track live at Giants Stadium in New Jersey in 2009, while "Land of Hope and Dreams" has been a concert staple since the band's 1999 reunion tour.

"Bruce has dug down as deep as he can to come up with this vision of modern life," said Laundau in a statement. "The lyrics tell a story you can't hear anywhere else and the music is his most innovative in recent years. The writing is some of the best of his career and both veteran fans and those who are new to Bruce will find much to love on 'Wrecking Ball.'"

Springsteen will be a keynote speaker at South by Southwest this year in Austin, Texas. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will be on tour throughout 2012.
