Bruce Irons shows some "flare" with his surfing at Red Bull Minor Threat

(CBS) - Surfing while a flare is igniting on the back end of your surfboard... what could go wrong?

In this case, luckily, nothing at all. Surfer Bruce Irons decided to add some "flare" to his surfing skills with some pyrotechnics thrown into the mix at the Red Bull Minor Threat tournament.

And before any of you decide to try and emulate this very cool stunt, I'd keep in mind that Bruce Irons is a professional surfer with about 25 years of experience. Can you say the same thing? Nope? Then put the flare down and keep practicing.
