Bristol Palin announces she is having a baby girl
Bristol Palin is having a girl.
The TV personality and daughter of Sarah Palin announced on Instagram that she is seven-and-a-half months pregnant: "7.5 months with my baby girl," she wrote in a picture where she held her hand over her baby bump.
Palin, 24, announced her pregnancy in June, shortly after breaking up with her ex-fiance Dakota Meyer.
In her statement about her second pregnancy, Palin implied that it was not expected: "Honestly, I've been trying my hardest to keep my chin up on this one," she wrote. "At the end of the day there's nothing I can't do with God by my side, and I know I am fully capable of handling anything that is put in front of me with dignity and grace."
She later backpedaled, saying the pregnancy was indeed planned, but that she had just "got ahead of [herself]."
"None of us are perfect," she said at the time. "I made a mistake, but it's not the mistake all these giddy a**holes have loved to assume. This pregnancy was actually planned."
Palin already has son Tripp with ex Levi Johnston. She was pregnant with Tripp at the age of 16 during her mother's vice presidential run in 2008, and gave birth in December that year.
