"Breaking Bad" stars toast final episodes at premiere party
The champagne was flowing inside the infamous "Breaking Bad" RV as the show's stars arrived for a party celebrating the final eight episodes of the Emmy-winning AMC drama series.
Bryan Cranston, Anna Gunn and Aaron Paul were some of the familiar faces who emerged from the smoking vehicle at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, Calif., on Wednesday night to toast the premiere of the second half of season 5 -- marking an end to one of the most critically acclaimed series in the history of television.
Cranston (who has already won three Emmys and is now up for a possible fourth win for his portrayal of main character Walter White) says that all bets are off when it comes to these final episodes.
"The show is like a runaway train," Cranston said. "It just blasts through the stories -- not too fast, but not too slow. There is no dilution in this. It is a beautifully crafted eight episodes to bring us to the end."
The 57-year-old actor also said that he realizes he will most likely be forever tied to the Walter White character.
"I anticipate that eventually when I die -- hopefully that is many, many years from now -- that will be the lead in the obituary, 'Breaking Bad' star explodes [or] however it is going to happen. I am proud of that."
