"Breaking Bad" star Bryan Cranston writing a memoir

Bryan Cranston is writing a memoir, and promising to share some "secrets and lies" from his time playing Water White on "Breaking Bad."

The Emmy-winning actor has a deal with Scribner for what is described as a "deeply candid" book.

"Walter White taught me a lot -- some of it useful, some of it dangerous," Cranston, 58, said in a statement. "With this book, I want to tell the stories of my life and reveal the secrets and lies that I lived with for six years shooting 'Breaking Bad.'"

Scribner announced Thursday the book is due out in the fall of 2015. It is currently untitled.

Cranston also is known for his featured role in the Oscar-winning "Argo" and for his current performance as Lyndon B. Johnson in the Broadway show "All the Way."
