Boston bomber will get chance to break his silence

BOSTON - Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev will get a chance to break his long silence when a judge formally imposes the death sentence recommended by a jury.

Tsarnaev's sentencing hearing is scheduled for Wednesday in a Boston court.

More than 20 bombing victims are expected to give statements on how the attack has affected them. Tsarnaev will also be given a chance to speak.

Tsarnaev's sentence has already been decided by the jury that recommended the death penalty. The judge is required to impose that sentence.

Some legal experts say Tsarnaev could decide to apologize, make a political speech to justify the bombings or say nothing at all.
