Bomb victim to 911: "My car blew up with 2 kids"
MONROE, Mich. - A 911 tape of a call from a man hurt in a car-bombing records him describing his children's injuries and pleading with a Monroe County emergency operator for immediate help.
CBS News affiliate WTOL-TV in Toledo, Ohio, obtained a recording of the 911 call from the man a law enforcement official familiar with the investigation identified as 42-year-old lawyer Erik Chappell.

The official requested anonymity because he isn't authorized to speak publicly.
"My car blew up with two kids," Chappell tells the operator.
The car-bombing happened Tuesday evening in Monroe. Chappell was driving his two sons to football practice the bomb detonated, WTOL-TV reports. All three were taken to a Toledo hospital where they were listed in serious condition.

He tells the operator the blast has already been reported but says he wants to explain the seriousness of the injuries to his two sons.
Chappell says "they are bleeding" with leg and buttock injuries and says he needs someone there "now."
The operator says help should arrive "any moment."
