"Boardwalk Empire" renewed for fifth season
HBO is bringing "Boardwalk Empire" back for another season.
The network announced Thursday that it is renewing the Prohibition-era drama for a fifth season.
"Thanks to Terry Winter, Martin Scorsese, Tim Van Patten, Howard Korder and their stellar team, 'Boardwalk Empire' remains in a class by itself," said Michael Lombardo, president, HBO Programming in a statement, according to Deadline. "I look forward to another electrifying season of this impeccably crafted series."
The fourth season of "Boardwalk Empire" premiered earlier this month. The show also received five Emmy Awards this year, including a win for Bobby Cannavale as outstanding supporting actor in a drama series.
