Blake Lively channels Marilyn Monroe on "Gossip Girl"
(CBS) "Gossip Girl" is moving from the Upper East Side to Hollywood - temporarily - for the show's 100th episode.
In the milestone episode, Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) imagines herself as Marilyn Monroe in a dream sequence. (Scroll down to see more photos from the scene.)
Serena dons a pink dress and lots of jewelry a la "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend" from "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes," surrounded by suitors including Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford), Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) and Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley).
Blair Waldorf (Blake Lively) also makes an appearance in the fantasy, as Audrey Hepburn.
"Gossip Girl" executive producer Josh Safran told Yahoo! TV that he's wanted to film the Monroe number since the show began.
"It's something we've never done before. From Season 1, I said, 'I want to do this.' But it just wasn't the right time. I've been pushing it for five years, and it finally happened," he said.
