BlackBerry Z10 rumored to arrive in U.S. on March 22
BlackBerry fans in the United States may see the company's latest smartphone, the Z10, later this month.
Citing two anonymous sources familiar with the plan, Bloomberg reports that the BlackBerry Z10 will go on sale in the U.S. on the AT&T network on March 22.
A spokesperson for AT&T declined to comment on the report.
BlackBerry Z10 is already available in Canada, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. The company's website says the Z10 will be available with most U.S. carriers in March, but BlackBerry has yet to confirm a solid release date.
BlackBerry says that the report is only speculation at this point and released this statement to CBS News via email: "BlackBerry has not announced official launch dates for the BlackBerry Z10 in the U.S. and we are not able to confirm any rumored launch dates on behalf of our carrier partners."
On Jan. 30, BlackBerry announcedits new mobile operating system, BlackBerry 10, with two smartphones: Q10 and Z10.
BlackBerry Z10 is a touchscreen device running on BB10, has a 4.2-inch 1,280 x 768 touchscreen display with a 356 pixel density, front- and rear-facing cameras and comes in black and white.
BlackBerry Q10 will keep a full QWERTY keyboard and has a 3.1-inch display. Both devices have 4G LTE capabilities.
