Biden Taps Hill Staffers For VP Office
Vice President-elect Joe Biden continues to fill out his staff, announcing today that he has signed on several Capitol Hill veterans.
Alan Hoffman, Biden’s longtime Senate chief of staff, will take on the deputy chief of staff role on Biden’s vice presidential team, the transition office announced Tuesday.
“Alan Hoffman has been an invaluable advisor to me for over a decade. He will bring sound judgment and key management experience to the office,” Biden said in a statement.
Biden has also signed on Sudafi Henry, a senior policy advisor to House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, to serve as his director of legislative affairs.
“Sudafi Henry is a rising star on Capitol Hill, who has earned the trust of many Members of Congress. I am pleased he will lead our efforts to build strong working relationships with members of both parties and in both the House and Senate,” Biden said.
Henry has worked for New York Rep. Major Owens and Missouri Rep. Emanuel Cleaver.
Hoffman has worked as a senior vice president for external relations for the University of California system and as a vice president for external affairs for the RAND Corporation.
